JUNK LAB
JUNK LAB is an experimental production space built around contemporary art, material exploration, and collective creativity.
Rather than functioning as a traditional workshop program, JUNK LAB focuses on process, experimentation, and experience. The space brings together artists, designers, makers, and people who are curious about creating through different materials and techniques.
Our aim is to create an environment where production becomes more open, collaborative, and research-driven. From printmaking and surface experimentation to sculptural practices, material studies, and artist-led sessions, every gathering is shaped around discovery rather than repetition.
Each experience inside JUNK LAB evolves differently depending on the people, materials, and ideas involved. Some sessions focus on hands-on making, while others revolve around conversation, process sharing, experimentation, and temporary collective production.
Rather than focusing on fixed outcomes, JUNK LAB is built around experimentation, interaction, and evolving creative processes.
We see making not simply as a finished result, but as a way of thinking, researching, and building connections through shared production and material experience.
JUNK LAB regularly collaborates with invited artists and independent practitioners from different disciplines to create temporary production environments, artist sessions, talks, open studio experiences, and experimental gatherings.

JUNK LAB, çağdaş sanat, malzeme araştırmaları ve kolektif üretim üzerine kurulu deneysel bir üretim alanıdır.
Geleneksel bir atölye programı gibi çalışmak yerine; süreç, deneyim ve araştırma odaklı bir yapı kurmayı amaçlar. Farklı üretim tekniklerine, malzemelere ve yaratım süreçlerine ilgi duyan sanatçıları, tasarımcıları, üreticileri ve meraklı insanları bir araya getirir.
Amacımız üretimi daha açık, kolektif ve araştırma temelli bir hale getirecek bir ortam yaratmak. Baskı tekniklerinden yüzey deneylerine, heykelsi üretimlerden malzeme çalışmalarına ve sanatçı yürütücülüğündeki oturumlara kadar her buluşma; tekrar eden bir sistemden çok keşif odaklı ilerler.
JUNK LAB içerisindeki her deneyim, katılan insanlar, kullanılan malzemeler ve ortaya çıkan fikirlerle birlikte farklı şekilde gelişir. Bazı oturumlar doğrudan üretime odaklanırken, bazıları süreç paylaşımı, konuşmalar, deneysel araştırmalar ve geçici kolektif üretim biçimleri etrafında şekillenir.
Sabit sonuçlardan çok; deney, etkileşim ve sürekli dönüşen yaratıcı süreçlerle ilgileniyoruz.
Bizim için üretim yalnızca bitmiş bir sonuç değil; düşünme, araştırma ve insanlar arasında yeni bağlar kurma biçimi.
JUNK LAB; farklı disiplinlerden bağımsız üreticiler ve davetli sanatçılarla birlikte geçici üretim alanları, sanatçı oturumları, konuşmalar, açık stüdyo deneyimleri ve deneysel buluşmalar gerçekleştirir.
